Pink and Teal with Swirls and Diamonds – Depression Glass Tablescape Thursday

May 11, 2011 by Kathy 8 Comments

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday! I appreciate Susan hosting this fun event each week. It’s made me think about how you would use vintage glass on your table. I hope you enjoy these too.

If you remember this tablescape featuring Swirl teal and pink depression glass accented with Fostoria Lido stemware, you know I’ve been combining patterns and patterns. After all, most of us don’t have one complete glass pattern – and we all like mixing and matching and having fun blending colors and styles.

This week uses more Swirl in teal and pink, but instead of the Fostoria stemware let’s use Windsor pink depression glass.

Switching Lido crystal for the pink Windsor tumblers makes the colors look deeper.  Here’s what the pink place settings look like.  How do you like the pink sparkle?

If you have a few pieces of depression glass try using it.  You don’t have to set the entire table with depression glass like we did here.  Put out that pretty creamer and sugar set or the nice bowl you have.  It’s specially fun when the pieces have memories.

The sun shining through the pink glass is making my tablecloth glow pink.

I like how the rich teal brings out the pretty pink, a nice contrast.

You may recognize the Windsor pink tumblers from a previous post with American Sweetheart white plates.

You get a different feeling looking at this from the teal or the pink place settings.  Where would you want to sit?

Here’s what you see when you sit down at the pink place.  Close up first.

And now you can pick your head up and see the rest of the places.

I’m still partial to combining the pink and teal Swirl with Fostoria Lido.  I like the way the crystal perks up the table and lightens it.  What do you think?

Thank you for visiting with us this Thursday!

My thanks to Susan from Between Naps on the Porch for hosting this fun event.
