Welcome to Tablescape Thursday and thank you for stopping by. Depression glass is memories, but it is also beautiful and useful. Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, which color do you like better, the ultramarine/teal or pink?
Jeannette made Swirl in a luscious teal color they called ultramarine. It’s a deep sea green that looks great in this tablescape along with Tiffin cut crystal stemware Dolores.
Jeannette made the same pattern in transparent pink. Here it is with a simple Libbey goblet and Homespun depression glass bowl.
The pink is harder to photograph so here’s a different view. This time we added contemporary Italian crystal candle holders.
It’s vote time, please. Which do you like better? The Teal? Or the Pink? Leave a comment and let me know.
Shopping information: We have Swirl in pink and ultramarine depression glass, the Libbey crystal goblets and Tiffin Dolores goblets in our store Cat Lady Kate’s Elegant and Depression Glass. If you need help in recreating your table please let me know. Shopping with us is like antiquing with your best friend.
Thank you to Susan of Between Naps on the Porch for hostessing this fun Tablescape event each week.

I don’t think I can chose–it’s like asking someone to choose which pet is their favorite!! I have both green and pink, and I use them in various settings.

I also love both, but am leaning toward the pink-it’s so delicate. Just beautiful!

What pretty shades in the green. I guess I have seen more pinks so I love the green. It would be so fun paired with dark red for the holidays.

Now how to choose between pink and green? My two favorite colors! The green photographs so well, but I do have a passion for pink. I would just have to mix the two.

I love the ultramarine! Anyone that knows me, knows I am not a fan of pink…

I am a very real “Southern Belle” so, naturally, I have to go with the soft, pale pink! Just georgous, honey chile!

On your gorgeous tablecloth, I would go with the pink…just like you did. They are both valuable assets for tablescaping. Thank you for sharing your design. Cherry Kay

I love pink but I am such a green girl. The green glass is so versatile and could be used for every season and celebration. Lovely tablescapes. Thanks for sharing.

Green is usually my favorite, but the pink looks so elegant. Guess I’ll have to say both are my favorites!

To choose or not to choose, that is a very hard question!!
I never saw the ultramarine before, it is very pretty. I am a pink lady so I love the pink! I’m not sure…how about both????

Maybe I’ll try mixing them in a future tablescape. Might be good – might not. We’ll see. Thanks for the suggestion!

Must I choose? I like them both, however, I think you did a great job of showing off the pink with the beautiful tablecloth. The embroidered flowers on the tablecloth make a swirly pattern, mimicking the swirl of the plates.
I do love the cut crystal you paired with the teal, though . . .
I just can’t make up my mind . . .

Pink is my favorite color, but the ultramarine is striking me today. I really like how this color looks on the placemats you used.
All the Best,

Loved all the beautiful images you shared here. Your slide show header is great too! I’m usually very boring and prefer clear (goes with everything) pressed/blown/etched glass, but I do find myself noticing pink Depression glass more and more. It might end up being my next voyage of self-indulgence!

I love them both… but lately, I’ve been leaning more into the greens…. it works well in Spring (think Easter), Summer (ocean waves), Fall (changing leaves), and Winter (think Christmas greens)… I use mine for the Thanksgiving table with other glass in shades of golds/yellows… they look so festive!
