Thank you for letting me share our blue rose table with you. Thank you to Susan from Between Naps on the Porch and friends for this fun Tablescape Thursday. Today we’re having dinner on Concord Rose china from Syracuse.

Think blue roses and you have this contemporary dinnerware.   It’s durable and has a pretty design of long stemmed blue roses.

But it needs to be dressed up, don’t you think?  How about adding a dash of blue?  Cobalt blue depression glass adds that spot of color we need.  This Moderntone cobalt blue depression glass sherbet looks great on the plate and we’ll have fun using this for our fruit salad.

Let’s take a closer look.  I like this combination.  It changes my plain table from boring to fabulous.

The glasses were using are interesting.  When we think of Anchor Hocking we think of quality glass for daily use, not cut or fancy, but sturdy and well made.  I found a set of eight tumblers marked Anchor Hocking at the flea market that have a fuchsia cutting.  Unusual.

It’s hard to see the cutting and it’s worth seeing.

I hope you enjoyed seeing a different sort of table today.  This time I combined Concord Rose dinnerware from Syracuse China, Moderntone blue depression glass sherbets, fuchsia cut tumblers from Anchor Hocking and a Fostoria Navarre etched candle holder.

Let me know how you mix depression glass in  your home.  You are welcome to post photos of your glass on our Facebook page at www.DepressionGlassFun.com.

Buying information:  All glass and china is available at our online store Cat Lady Kate’s Elegant and Depression Glass at www.CatladykatesGlass.com.  It’s like antiquing with your best friend.
