This is the season to plan your trips to catch the glass shows coming up. These are lots of fun, even if you just sorta like glass. If you are like me and love the stuff a good show is a piece of heaven!
Today a good friend and I went to an antique show in Allegan. We had a blast and I’ll have pictures over the next couple of weeks.
Fostoria Convention June 7-9, Moundsville, West Virginia
This coming weekend is the Fostoria convention for the Fostoria Glass Society of America. This show is in Moundsville, West Virginia, where the Fostoria glass plant had been located. Moundsville is in the West Virginia panhandle, just a little south of Wheeling. It’s north of the real hilly section and easy to get to.
Here are a couple links about the show to whet your appetite.
Dave and I had planned to go but his brother broke his hip and needed help for a few weeks. Dave is there now and won’t be back in time. (Today is our 40th wedding anniversary so we’ll celebrate when he gets back.)
Garden City Month Long Glass Exhibit at Library
This one sounded interesting if you live nearby.
The Big One – National Depression Glass Club Show
Deidra and I went to this one last year when it was in Kokomo, Indiana. Wow, wow and more wow. If you have any interest in vintage depression or elegant glass this show is tops.
Milton Antique Show
I don’t know much about this one and the website doesn’t have much information.
