You’ve noticed I’ve written about depression glass and about elegant glass and etched glass and candleholders, but not anything yet about mugs or bakeware or Fire King. The reason for this is that my store is shifting focus and will no longer carry Fire King or much collectible glass from the 1950s like Capri.
This was a hard choice for several reasons. I like the decorated mugs and the decorated retro tumblers. They are relatively easy to buy, more plentiful than depression glass for sure. And many people admire and collect the mugs and other Fire King and 1950s glass. Still, after much thought I adjusted my strategy to focus on elegant glass and depression glass. We’ll carry lots of glass from the 1950s-80s from makers like Cambridge and Fostoria.
That means my 8 boxes of 1950s glass need to go! I listed an entire box today on auctions starting next Monday at very low prices and intend to list everything over the next couple weeks. We have a lot of mugs that are starting this week and more each week until they are gone (or at least down to one box.) If you like Fire King click the photo to reach my store Cat Lady Kate’s Elegant and Depression Glass and use coupon News to get 5% off your order as my thank you for subscribing to this blog. My auctions start in a couple of days and here is the link to all my 1950s glass on eBay.
